  • Q1.   Are there bathrooms and changing facilities at Nemo Beach?

    Yes, simple amenities like changing rooms, washrooms are normally located close to the beach premises. It is better to arrive a little earlier so that one could have a little more time to change and prepare for the snorkelling session.

  • Q2.   What happens if it starts raining during my snorkel trip?

    A drizzle is usually not a problem when it comes to the snorkelling in the safe shallow water. But in case of bad weather or poor visibility, the instructors will postpone or even halt the session because of the safety of the participants. In case anything of that nature occurs, then the timings may be rescheduled to a more convenient time.

  • Q3.   How deep is the water at Nemo Beach for snorkeling?

    The snorkelling area of the Nemo beach is shallow and mostly around 3 meters. This makes it safe for beginners and non-swimmers. You will always be near your guide, and there is no necessity of going to the deep side of the water unless and until you feel at ease and are instructed to.

  • Q4.   Can I bring my own snorkeling equipment?

    Yes, if you want to, you can bring your own mask or snorkel or fins in case you would like to use your own equipment. However, the package is already equipped with all the required equipment that is in good condition. The instructors will check your gear beforehand just to be sure it fits properly and is safe to use.

  • Q5.   Is there training or briefing provided before participants enter the water?

    Yes, before the session, a short descriptive briefing is given to the participants is given to teach them how to use the mask, snorkel, and life jacket. The instructors will also help you with underwater skills and hand gestures to use when snorkeling. This complete training before teh session will make sure you feel comfortable and prepared before snorkeling.

  • Q6.   Is it possible for participants to encounter turtles or dolphins while snorkeling?

    On the Nemo beach, dolphins and turtles cannot be easily seen, but some guests were able to see them on their trip. However, it is reported that several other marine creatures, such as coral reefs, sea cucumbers, and starfish, etc. can also be found around the island very easily. Turtles can be seen depending on the season and even water clarity.

  • Q7.   Is swimming a necessary skill when it comes to snorkelling in Nemo Beach?

    No, one does not have to know how to swim when it comes to snorkelling at the Nemo Beach. The snorkelling is done in shallow water on the shore side under professional guidance by the instructors which makes the whole process easier for anybody who does not know how to swim.

    The shore snorkelling trip at Nemo beach has the duration of around 1 hour.  This includes a 45 minutes snorkelling, safety briefing, and gear adjustments.

  • Q9.   Is snorkeling in Nemo Beach safe for kids and senior citizens?

    Yes, it is safe for participants aged 12 and above. But those above 50 years of age are not recommended to snorkel without a medical fitness certificate issued by a doctor.  Experts and safety gear make the trip safe for anyone who snorkels.

  • Q10.   What kind of Marine Life can be seen when snorkeling in Nemo Beach?

    Many varieties of marine animals are observable, i.e., clownfish, butterfly fish, angelfish, parrotfish, starfish and other colourful coral gardens, which are the components of the rich underwater life.

  • Q11.   What gear and safety kit is included in snorkeling?

    The package includes all the snorkelling essentials: mask, snorkel, fins, and life jacket. There are guides available in a 1:2 ratio (guide to guests) to guarantee safety.

  • Q12.   When is the best time to go snorkelling at Nemo Beach?

    The months of October to April are the most important months to snorkel in the Nemo Beach as the weather is favourable and the water has better visibility hence making it a nice sightseeing of the reefs.

    Yes, complimentary photography and videography is provided with the snorkelling package so that adventurers will have a lots of nice pictures and videos from their snorkeling trip at the Nemo Beach.

  • Q14.   Is snorkelling in Nemo Beach safe for the environment?

    Absolutely. All of the snorkelling-related activity is done under the supervision of PADI safety standards as well as Andaman tourism’s eco regulations. Individuals engaging in the activity are supposed not to interfere with the corals in order to safeguard the vulnerable marine ecosystem.

    A snorkel mask normally prevents the use of glasses. Participants who wear glasses are recommended to use prescribed contact lenses or maybe even ask for a prescription snorkel mask if available.

  • Q17.   What time of the day is best for snorkeling at Nemo Beach?

    The most suitable time to snorkel in the waters is during the early hours of the day as the waters are peaceful and transparent.  The morning sunlight makes the reef and the fish look brighter. The afternoon trips are also great too, but the visibility may change on the basis of the tides and weather conditions.

  • Q18.   Does Nemo Beach have any weight restriction for snorkelling?

    Nope, there is not any weight restriction, however, the visitors must simply be capable of wearing the life jacket comfortably and move around in the water with ease. The snorkelling instructors will continue to check up on you so that you can snorkel without any inconvenience.

  • Q19.   Is snorkeling doable for participants who feel nervous or uncomfortable in the water?

    Feeling nervous or afraid under such circumstances is very normal. This practice occurs in very shallow sea water and you will always have a guide beside you so you do not feel frightened. You will also have a life jacket and a floating support on continuously to ensure that you are confident and safe in the water.
