Guitar Island

Best time to visit

You can visit Guitar Island all-round the year. Every season offers a different experience to the tourists. However, a tropical climate prevails here throughout the year. It is cool in the winters and dry in summer. The average mean temperature is around 22-degree Celsius. The cool sea breeze here can be cherished throughout the year. The Indian Ocean is towards the south and it lies between the Bay of Bengal Sea on the west and the Andaman Sea on the east.

The best time to visit Guitar Island is from October to February. These months are dry, and the sky and seawater are clear as well. Thus, it is a perfect time to enjoy enthralling water activities. These months are perfect for recreational activities such as hopping, swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, and snorkeling. It is also the peak season, and you will see a number of domestic as well as international tourists travelling here. That is why, you should book your flight, hotels, and dining in advance to avoid the last-minute hassle during the peak season rush.

March to May is the summer season. If you can’t tolerate the temperature above 30-degree Celsius, then avoid going in these months. The weather from 11 am to 3 pm will not be pleasant. However, if you belong to the cold climatic zone and looking forward to a sunbath, then you can visit the sun-kissed Guitar Island.

The rainy season is from June to September. If you love monsoons and don’t mind getting drenched in the rain, then you can visit Guitar Island during this time. Before moving towards the Indian Subcontinent, the first spell of monsoon rain falls here. Honeymooners and romantic couples especially love this season. With less visibility of daylight due to dark rain clouds, this palm-fringed island gets extremely gorgeous and a little chilly. Stay at a beachfront property to enjoy the rain, the sky, and the beach. During these months, the properties are also vacant as the rainy season is considered the off season here.

This island in the Andamans has got a lot more to offer than you can imagine. You are sure to get a myriad of experiences there. Rangat is a very good example of an eco-tourism initiative in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
