- First, you have to reach Wandoor Beach if you want to visit Jolly Buoy Island & Red Skin Island. It is about 30 kilometers from Port Blair (the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands) via road. It will take nearly 45 minutes to reach there.
- Permits are required to visit Jolly Buoy Island & Red Skin Island of Mahatma Gandhi National Park. These will be issued one day in advance on first come first serve basis. One has to present the application on the counter at Mahatma Gandhi Marine Interpretation center in Wandoor.
- The first boat to Jolly Buoy Island & Red Skin Island leaves at 9 am. So you should reach the counter by 8 am to collect the permit.
- Boats to Jolly Buoy Island & Red Skin Island leave at the same time and come back together as well.
